Clean Planet 101??? Why the name??

Life is fleeting, sometimes you must focus. Sometimes you must find what is most important to you, and pursue it relentlessly.
I dream of a clean planet, full of trees and crystal clear water. I hope my children will be able to ski down snowy mountains, or dance in fall rainstorms. Our earth is dirty and dying. I have chosen the pursuit of a cleaner planet, to be the focus of my blog. Though, I hope to fill this blog with inspiration for world changers in every field, I will try to centralize my story around creating a cleaner world, both literally and metaphorically.
Now, by clean, I do not mean that the planet is washed of opinions other than mine. Clean, to me, is healthy, diverse, connected, free of environmental pollutants, completely above poverty, and without a need for wars and genocide. I do not believe this is out of reach, though I do believe this world is a goal that we will need to work for.
While I battle on the environmental side of things, please, make a statement in your own way and field. We have to work together for this cause. Remember that.

If you are reading this...
I praise you. You must be pretty cool to have found my blog. Obviously I'm a little bit of a dork, since I have a blog about the environment. But, let me explain to you my reasoning behind this odd choice of an outlet.
We are quickly plunging, as a planet, into a place from which we will never return. Our generation is defined not by walking on the moon or writing the Harry Potter books. No. This generations is characterized by background extinction and brutal warfare. If you are a teenager, you may have heard from an adult in your life, "It's up to you to fix all of our problems, kid."
WELL THAT'S JUST GREAT!
What the adults are basically telling us is that they don't have any idea how to fix most of the problems they created, but since we're capable of scoring a perfect score on the SAT, we can totally stop the melting of the icecaps.
Fixing the problems of the world can't just be up to my high school graduating class. Everybody must work together to find solutions. I don't care if you are rich or poor, 8 or 80. The idea that cures Ebola may be inside of you. You could be the person we need in the White House. It is our responsibility to know, to inspire, to grow. In this blog, I will be logging my experiences on my adventure to save the world. Hopefully, I can inspire you to do the same. Share your story. Change the world.
